SE® Credit Sessions

Educational Sessions

I offer dedicated Educational Sessions designed to support your journey as a student. These sessions provide a safe container to process your own experiences and process while simultaneously deepening your understanding of the current module’s content. By engaging in this dual process of personal integration and professional learning, you gain a more profound, lived experience of the Somatic Experiencing (SE) model.

In these sessions, we prioritize “bottom-up” processing—focusing on physiological responses rather than cognitive narratives—to help you move through your personal history while mastering the following principles:

  • Establishing Safety and Trust: We build a secure therapeutic alliance, using co-regulation to create the necessary conditions for deep work.
  • Cultivating the Felt Sense: You will learn to shift focus from story to sensation, allowing you to access and release stored survival energy safely.
  • Mastering Titration and Pendulation: We navigate your experiences and process using titration (working in small, manageable amounts) and pendulation (rhythmically shifting between activation and resourcing).
  • Deepening Resourcing: We identify and strengthen your internal and external resources, establishing a secure base for integration.
  • Completing Survival Responses: We facilitate the completion of thwarted self-protective responses, helping your nervous system return to a state of balance and agency.

Note: Educational Sessions are an essential component of your training, and you receive full individual credit toward your SEP certification for this time.

Supervision

Supervision functions as an “embodied apprenticeship,” where we integrate your nervous system and physical awareness into the reflective process—a step I believe is fundamental to practitioner safety, ethical integrity, and clinical competence.

Implementation is where theory meets the reality of human experience. Because your presence is your most vital tool as an SE practitioner, my role as a Senior Assistant and supervisor is to help you refine that instrument, ensuring you apply SE principles with confidence within your specific scope.

Individual Consultations

Individual sessions create an interplay between your professional background—whether in therapy, bodywork, or coaching—and the core tenets of Somatic Experiencing. We examine your cases through a multifaceted lens to support you in:

  • Attunement and Recognizing Countertransference: Developing the precision to track your internal resonance as a diagnostic tool.
  • Self-Regulation and Preventing Vicarious Trauma: Maintaining your own physiological baseline to remain a stable, regulated presence.
  • Skill Refinement and Quality Assurance: Ensuring the safe, ethical, and effective application of SE interventions in your practice.

Group Supervision

Groups are at the heart of my work. There is a specific kind of magic that happens when we learn together; in these small, intimate spaces, we share the texture of our work and enrich each other’s practice through collective wisdom.

  • Small Groups: Limited to 8 participants to ensure deep engagement.
  • Credit-Bearing: Valid for all levels of SE training.
  • Diverse Perspectives: We learn from the “sparks” of curiosity that others bring to the table.

Note: Both individual and group sessions allow you to earn supervision credits toward your SEP certificate.
